The Ultimate Beauty Palette?

I recently purchased the 3rd edition ultimate beauty palette by Pixi and after using this a few times now and playing about with different looks, I've come to the conclusion that I love it.

The colours and shades in the palette are generally quite neutral, though it does have a few cranberry and purple shades which will be nice to add a little pop of colour to a look to to create an eye look that's a little more colourful. Also, there is a variety of shimmer shades in the palette that are really lovely and mean that more looks can be created, however, the palette is made up of mainly matte shades. Most of the shades aren't majorly pigmented, though I don't particularly think this is a bad thing as they're all really build-able, so ultimately it just prevents there being too much product put on initially.

The palette also includes 3 highlighters, a bronzer and four blush shades which is pretty useful as it means when you're travelling, you only have to take one palette with you that comes with a variety of both eye shadows and bronzer, highlight and blush shades. The bronzer is really nice; its quite a warm shade though and slightly more towards the orange side of the spectrum so not much of it is needed to bronze the face with. All the highlight shades are great, too. There's a frosty-pink toned highlight, a gold/champagne shade and a darker, brown shade, all which work well with different skin tones and, for me, I like to switch between the pink and the gold toned ones so I'm getting variety out of the palette. Finally, in terms of the blushes, there's two pinks, one that's slightly deeper and one that's quite pale and almost transparent, an orange toned blush and a more salmon toned blush - all of which are shimmery so they add that glow to the look.

Ultimately, I would recommend this palette to anyone, especially people who aren't that confident with makeup, or people who travel lots as there's so much in a fairly small, compact palette.

If you're interested in this palette, I bought it from cult beauty under the ultimate beauty kit.
