My February Favourites

This month I have been loving sooo many products, however, there's been a specific nine which have truly made an impression on me.

The first product which I have been loving is the Clean & Clear deep cleansing lotion. Being someone who is prone to bad breakouts I've used every product under the sun to help clear my skin up, meaning I've spent so much money on products which have done nothing but make my breakouts worse and/or dry out my skin. I first bought this cleansing lotion around early December, but being somewhat skeptical about using drugstore products on acne, I rarely used it and missed out on the wonder of it while doing so! However, adding this product to the end of my skincare routine has done wonders for my skin - I'm seeing the benefits almost instantly. It cleans so deeply into my pores, tightens them up and leaves my skin feeling more clean and fresh than I ever thought it could.

Also this month in terms of skin care, I've been using the Unani Dermo Defence Face Mask. I've been using this 2-4 times a week, leaving it on for about twenty minutes and washing it off with warm water and a cloth and honestly, the results are amazing. My skin feels unbelievably clean and moisturised afterwards, which is something not many face masks achieve for me and I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a soothing face mask which isn't messy or disappointing.

Next on the list of things I've loved this February is the Ardell Mechanical Brow Pencil. Finding a brow product that I fall instantly in love with is a task harder than getting out of a warm, cosy bed on a freezing morning, but I'm positive I've done it. This eyebrow duo offers a spoolie at one end and a pencil a the other. The pencil is a triangular shape, much like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, and is in a pomade/gel type formula which I've found to be such a nice formula for my brows. It also comes in a wide range of tones and colours which has impressed me even more as not many drug-store/fair-priced products offer that.

Another thing which I have fallen in love with again is the Lancome Hypnose mascara. This mascara is honestly my holy grail, no matter how many times i put it down and try so hard to find a new love, I always end up applying this. Unfortunately, I haven't seen enough love for this product online and not one of my friends or family had ever used it before I kindly bought every one of them one for Christmas. There is quite a lot of bristles on the brush and it does pull a lot of product through the tube, however, it doesn't apply cakey onto the lashes, it adds length and volume and gives an amazing false-lash effect.

Also in the 'eyes' category is the Supercat Liner from Soap and Glory. Before this, I had never used a pen type liner before, I'd always used a brush or gel liner, however, I have now been converted to the beauty of the pen liner. Not only is this liner incredibly easy to apply, not messy and far from being too thick, it is a perfect black and has lasted me everyday for well over four months, somehow.

At this time of the year, when we haven't been getting too much sun and I'm paler than a milk bottle, I enjoy bronzer, a whole lot of bronzer. This month, my favourite has been NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder. It adds a perfect bronze tone to my skin and I usually pair it with Benefit's Hoola Bronzer to add definition to my cheek bones, but it is just perfect for my skin tone, it doesn't look muddy on the skin, it blends amazingly and I'm kicking myself for not picking it up sooner.

Next on my list of favourites is the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights. Because of my pink-toned, extremely pale skin, I find choosing a highlighter which suits my skin tone very hard. However, with this, I think I've found a winner. it's very easy to apply and isn't immediately pigmented which makes it easy to build up to the perfect highlight. Another thing I love about this is that it's so affordable and lasts such a long time!

Next up in terms of skin is the Benefit POREfessional. In all honesty, I have been using this primer religiously for around a year now, but as this is my first blog post, why shouldn't I include it? Anyone who hasn't used this is missing out on the most amazing primer this planet has. The effect it has on my skin is amazing. It shrinks my pores so they're barely visible, it makes my skin so so so soft and allows my makeup to be applied perfectly. If you haven't already tried this, I would recommend you do.

Lastly for my favourites this month is Tanya Burr Lip gloss in Lunch Date. I was never a fan of lip gloss before I tried this, however, I will definitely be purchasing more! It's a long-lasting product and the colour is amazing and wearable over similar toned lip sticks for a glossier effect.
