This palette has had my name on it since it was announced; Bronze-toned eye shadows and 9 lip colours is a temptation I could barely resist - until I couldn't anymore and bought it.
Not only is the packaging design the perfect middle ground between glamorous and minimal, the shadows and lip colours are in separate sides of the palette, which means any fallout from the shadows won't get stuck in the lip shades and ruin them which happens to be the case with many lip and powder palette.
So the eyeshadows are so great. All of them are shades I'd wear, even the iridescent shade in the center of the bottom row that has a lovely red/brown base with a blue/black/shimmery tone within it. Each of them are highly pigmented (though the first two are difficult to make out on the swatches due to my ridiculously pale skin tone), blend easily and evenly and stay for the whole day. The shades creates so many different combinations that will suit all skin tones and with there being both matte and shimmer shades, there's something available for those who have a preference for one over the other.
The lip colours are, at first sight, amazing, there's a variety of shades and they appear suitable for most, if not all skin tones. After careful inspection, the impressions just get better. Although I wouldn't brave the bright pink colour, the rest are tried and tested, each lasting more than expected, though not through a meal. Also, the consistency is amazing, the darker colours did need a few extra coats to stop the patchiness but it's nothing major and nothing that will stop me wearing them again. The fact that this palette includes all shades from nudes to brights to darks makes this something that I am more than happy to invest in again and that' without mentioning, again, the quality of the lip colours.
As a whole, this is a palette I am glad I've bought. Besides all the amazing comments about the quality, the colours and the palette itself, this would also make an amazing travel palette - it'd save taking 9 plus lipsticks and you've got an eyeshadow palette on the other side!
If you're interested in this you'll find it on BHCosmetics - which I should also state is a vegan brand - at an affordable price for both the palette and the shipping (which takes between 10-20 days, though it has never taken longer than 12 when I've ordered).
Thank for reading this blog post and if you're wanting more, check out my previous reviews on makeup, books among many other things and blog post styles.
There has been a few items in my life recently that I have been absolutely loving and since my aim with this blog is to share elements of my daily life, I thought it was only right to share the things that I have been using that don't exactly fall in the category of 'beauty'.
One, or two, of the things that have become a part of my daily life are these pouches of Chia Seeds and Cacao Powder that I got from Goodyfull.com. I use these in more or less everything from smoothes, to salads, to drinks and to baking. Not only are they good value for money, but these super foods are so full of nutrients and goodness that they're making my healthy lifestyle a lot easier to live, not that I don't stray toward to odd bar of Dairy Milk every now and again, but I feel a lot less guilty about binging on some chocolate treats when they've been made with Cacao powder.

I've been in need of a clock of some kind for my bedroom since we moved in, so when I laid my eyes on this tiny little duck egg/light blue alarm clock, I snatched it up. It goes perfectly with the colour scheme of my bedroom and it's without a doubt the cutest accessory in there. I found this in Laura Ashley so it was on the pricier side of things, however, it does look lovely and hopefully, it will last for a long while.
For the last month or so I have been OBSESSED with Gossip Girl. I honestly never saw myself getting into this, but I am so hooked I've found myself getting through 10-12 episodes a day. I love the cast and characters, the story lines and basically just the whole idea of it. For anyone unfamiliar with the show, first of all, you're missing out and secondly, it's basically about a group of Upper East-Side friends who get themselves in all sorts of trouble. There's love, hate, friendship, everything you want in a show.

I've also been loving my Amazon Fire Tablet. It's just your run of the mill tablet; you get your apps, access to your prime account including music, TV and film and also access to your Kindle account. It's really handy for me personally as I can get all the apps I want and need on including a version of word, power point and excel which I want for University. You also get to choose whether you want it in Magenta, Orange, Blue and Black which is quite cute. I'm very happy with this purchase, I can now travel to University with this tiny little thing with all my work on rather than having to drag my heavy laptop a mile up the road all for the small price of £49.99.

I have also been loving Ideal Home alongside spending quite a few hours on the House to Home website. I've really been getting in touch with my home decor loving side, touching up my flat and getting a few fresh ideas on how to do so (my pinterest has never been so active) and ideal home has been a place where a lot of tips and ideas have come from, so for that, I have loved it.
The Happiness Planner has been such a life saver for me. The daily quotes and planning have really helped to boost my struggling motivation and I've found myself sticking to what I've been planning for the day, which, for such a lazy girl, is great!.
As a lover of animals, I can never help myself when I'm in the radius of somewhere with an abundance of them, so when I found myself near the aquarium recently, I just had to take the trip.
After a few hours at SEA LIFE, it seemed the perfect time to explore the town it's in.
Okay, so I realise I'm a little late on the band wagon here, but I finally got my hands on the Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics (and Carli Bybel). I've wanted this since she first announced it, however, due to the high demand and because I've been too busy to keep checking the site, I've only just managed to get it.
First of all, I want to talk about the shadows. All of them are incredibly soft and easy to blend which is a must-have for a good eye shadow. There's a mix of matte and shimmer shades which is also really important in a palette, especially since shimmers and glitters are all the range right now. Last but not least, the colours are all right up my street, they're all mauve's and golds and basically all my go-to shades!
Now the highlighters are what I like to label 'perfect'. The pigment is so amazing, the shades are great because they don't just cater for one skin tone which quite a few brands do and also, the consistency and texture, like the shadows, are so brilliantly smooth and easy to apply and blend. These are honestly some of the greatest highlighter I own and I'm loving the first two, they both match equally as nice with my skin tone and they stay put for so long too.
The actual products are not the only great thing about this palette, the actually packaging is beautiful too and I also think it's important to note that this palette is cruelty free!
If you're not familiar with what Whitby is, or where it is, it is a small coastal town on the North-East Coast of the UK and it's where my boyfriend and I decided to spend our summer holiday this year.
One thing I really liked about spending the week here is that it is such a traditional town and even though there's plenty of people about, it feels so serene and atmospheric.
Luckily for us, we had quite a few days where the weather was amazing so we headed down to the beach for a day of soaking up the sun and dipping our feet in the surprisingly warm sea.
(and we couldn't leave without searching the rock pools)
All in all, we definitely enjoyed this get away and will be visiting again soon, hopefully.
